Department of Health and Recreation Holds Scopus Indexed Scientific Article Writing Activity with Resource Person Dr. Janu Arlinbowo from the National Innovation Research Agency

Padang, 5 June 2024 – The Department of Health and Recreation, Padang State University (UNP) successfully held a Scopus indexed scientific article writing activity by presenting resource person Dr. Janu Arlinbowo from the National Innovation Research Agency. The focus of the discussion in this activity is on how to create a meta-analysis article that is simple but capable of being included in Scopus indexed journals.

This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) UNP, Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan, M.Pd. In his remarks, he appreciated the initiative of the Department of Health and Recreation in organizing this activity. "This activity will help increase the motivation of students and lecturers in writing quality scientific articles to support a superior and quality Faculty of Sports Sciences," said Prof. Dr. Nurul Ihsan.

Dr. Janu Arlinbowo, an expert in writing scientific articles, delivered material regarding techniques and strategies in compiling meta-analysis articles that can be accepted in Scopus indexed journals. "The main key is to simplify the process without reducing the quality and validity of the data used," said Dr. Janu.

Head of the Department of Health and Recreation, Dr. Ridho Bahtra, S.Si, M.Pd, also said that this activity was held to encourage students and lecturers to be more active in writing scientific articles. "We hope that this activity can provide insight and motivation for the participants to continue to contribute to the academic world through quality writing," said Dr. Ridho.

This activity received a warm welcome from the participants, both students and lecturers, who enthusiastically took part in the activity. They had the opportunity to discuss directly with sources regarding various challenges and strategies in writing meta-analysis articles.

By holding this activity, it is hoped that more quality scientific articles will be produced from the FIK UNP environment which can be published in Scopus indexed journals, supporting the vision of the Faculty of Sports Sciences to become a superior and quality faculty.
